Who seriously thought that the Knight Rider remake was going to be good? I mean, come on; NBC is doing it? Maybe, just maybe, if FX, HBO, or Showtime was producing the remake, it would of had a chance. But if you are currently watching the show and don’t like what you see, you might enjoy this guys good ‘ol fashion blogging rant.
Note to all would be producers of TV and movies remakes. DO NOT DEVIATE FROM THE ORIGINAL STORY. If you think you’re gonna put your own spin on it and it will be wildly popular, you better take a look around before you spend the studios money.
4. KITT is too vulnerable. In the TV movie and the first 2 episodes, KITT was incapacitated. This is unacceptable. The car is the show… The car is the show… THE CAR IS THE SHOW! Don’t forget that.

btw how dead is Val Kilmer’s career if he’s stuck doing voice over work on this turd? But who knows, the last guy to voice kitt got to be the president of SAG and costarred on boy meets world lol.

I quite like the show, Its very popular in my house, my house mates think it rocks. Its quite fun to watch as its different from the original and doesn’t take it self to seriously.
Its a shame that it will probably be canceled like most US shows, perhaps its a UK thing.
I live in America, and I also like the new Knight Rider.(And I am also a big fan of the original). It’s not perfect, but it’s good escapist entertainment that pays homage to the original while adding something new. Some people need to chill out and stop being overly critical.
My remote doesn’t stop on shows without Hasselhoff.

I’m watching the show in Hulu.com… I know it is a very low budget production but I’m just watching it for pure fun. Anyway, the car, although it exaggerated a bit, is cool.
This has got to be one of the dumbest shows on TV. I keep coming back hoping it gets better. Now I am just hoping it gets cancel. When KITT made a car key out of thin air last week I knew I was done with the show. It was bad enough it was turning into a truck but now it is making matter where none originally existed. At least Star Terk had a lame as reason why they could do it. Oh and it was in the future. Is it me or is the organization more connected than God. They have access to crap no gov’t has but oh yeah they have a hot Fed chick working there.
I like it as well, I always Tivo that shit in HD. It does get a bit cheesy, I honestly don’t mind that. It has great action scenes, and awesome cars.
Although Ford sucks, there’s no way around it.
Actually, the “key replicator” seemed to be basically just an advanced version of a 3D printer. The crap with him turning into a truck, however….LAME
I have quite enjoyed it, they have kept a lot of the ‘unrealistic’ traits of the old series which I think was a good idea. Just sit down and be entertained, don’t expect too much connection to reality!
Since Hollywood is going Retro – bringing back the likes of 90210 and Knight Rider – may I suggest the greatest comeback of all time – Happy Days. Who doesn’t want to relive the moments when the Fonz jumped that shark.
It is not a remake, its a continuation. the person who made he old knight rider is the same person who made the new one . i love the new one
I think the new show is Awesome. I think at times it is a little Lame…….But come on guys…..Give it a chance, Season 2 Might be better……..and I think the new K.I.T.T. is kool, even though……I think the truck isnt that attractive to the show…………I am glad they kept the car American though……That a good thing.
