Robo Japan 2008: Honda showcases the newest version of the Asimo humanoid (video)

Honda’s humanoid Asimo has been around for more than four years now but it’s still highly popular in its homeland Japan. At Robo Japan 2008, an exhibition held in Yokohama last week, Honda presented the newest version of the 130cm tall, walking robot to the general public and it looks just awesome.

  • Asimo is just amazing. I get a real kick out of those videos, and I can’t help thinking what life will be like 30 years from now when that kind of robot is ubiquitous. By then they’ll cost 1/10th of what they cost today and be 10 times more capable. I think the only thing that’s lagging right now is the AI that’s going to power them. Certainly will be interesting times, just when I’m about to retire…

    El robot Asimo es uno de los mejores robot más avanzado en el mundo ya que es el que más se asemeja a un ser humano.
