In case you need a lot – I mean a lot – of torrent storage, the latest Buffalo TeraStation Pro is for you with its 6TB of storage capacity. Four 1.5TB HDDs provide the storage through either RAID 0, 1, 5, or 1+0 and gigabit Ethernet, of course, provides connectivity. This TeraStation Pro incarnation has all the standard NAS features like Active Directory support, built-in FTP server, and gawd-high price of €1,580 ($2,114). No word when this product will leave the Japanese market but chances are, we should see it here in the States shortly; your pr0n collection can’t wait.

  • The Buffalo support and warranty policy is so lame that I can’t believe you can praise the latest iteration of a piece of junk. We’ve had 2 TS 1’s and one TS2 in our small office in the past 11 months — all broke, trashing our data and costing thousands in IT and clerical labor.

And Buffalo could care less. The new Pro2 they sent us to replace a new Pro1 (that lived for 10 months) and remanufactured Pro1 (that lasted 2 days) just gave out and they won’t honor its 1-year warranty. They just say it replaced a remanufactured unit, so voila — 90 days is all we got to watch it fail.

Stop reviewing their products and do your readers a service by recommending a more durable product!
