What in your opinion is the best phone then? Have you, for instance, explored nokias? By the way, I am typing this from my g1 and I absolutely hate it. I ve been debating on a phone for months.

What exactly do you mean by “polished”? Do you just mean that you think it’s ugly? To me polished means that it works well (it certainly never crashes), is easy to learn and use (good UI design) and is not missing important functionality (for the target market). To me “polished” does *not* mean “pretty”.

I was playing with a G1 yesterday and today. Personally I like the way it looks. Whether it was pretty or ugly is not really something that crossed my mind, but the icons were clear and the UI felt well designed (except for the lack of a touchscreen keyboard for one-handed typing, but I hear that’s available in Cupcake by now).

So, in brief, what do you mean by “the G1 is not polished”?

I’ve been using the g1 for about two weeks now and I can honestly say I hate it. There are so many issues with it that I could go on for days complaining. Do yourself a favor and get a different phone. I’m going to throw mine out the window soon.

I love this phone, but sometimes it just starts buzzing, and doesnt stop, so i have to yank out the battery. Which gets annoying

Well take a touch phone then. Then you are sure you will call people when you put the phone back in your pocket!!! Believe me I have the HTC Diamond with a virtual keyboard and it sucks big time!! Always have to get the pen out. Even my girlfriend who has tiny fingers has problems with writing. No thank you HTC for the G1!!!! This is WAY better.

I have a BlackBerry Curve with T-Mobile. Wondering if I should swith to the G1, or wait til next generation of G1 comes out? I mostly use my blackberry for scheduling, email, websurfing and some (not much) texting. Any advice for me on comparing my BB with the G1? Thanks

The GPS My Location put me 8 blocks away from where I actually was in 3 different locations, 3 different cities.

Don’t like the GPS.

Camera SUCKS ASS

Can’t save texts

Can’t forward texts….
