He’s upset for other reasons

Do you suffer from “mobile phone dermatitis”? It’s a rash that develops on your ears and cheeks that’s the result of prolonged cellphone use. It’s not a huge deal, but it exists, and doctors have been advised to keep it in mind when they see patients with otherwise unexplainable rashes.

What causes the dermatitis? Try nickel. The metallic element is found in damn near every cellphone, and prolonged exposure to it isn’t exactly advisable.

Watch, 100 years from now Future People will be all, “How could they [us] have put those contraptions [cellphones] right up against their head all day long? Where was the common sense?”

  • How could Wikipedia have a write-up on the dangers of nickel without referencing Peter going blind on Family Guy?

Hey – why didn’t CrunchGear mention it? (Oh, you’re not talking about *eating* cell phones…)

  • I was amazed when I read this report because at this very moment in time,I have allergic contact dermatitis in my right earlobe only, which I blamed on earrings. However this has caused me to have a re think.Could be my Nokia metal cased mobile.
