You probably need to be a comic book connoisseur to appreciate this, but here’s the new trailer for the upcoming movie Watchmen.
Like the trailer that debuted alongside The Dark Knight, it still has that Smashing Pumpkins song in the background. Why that’s relevant, I don’t know.
Still, as far as superhero movies go, this looks to be better than, say, The Fantastic Four, even though that’s not saying much.










I remember how worried i was that the Lord of the Rings films would suck (thank you for your magic, Peter Jackson!) I hope this film manages to tell the story as well as the graphic novel.
I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but the song on the trailer is Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘The Beginning is the End is the Beginning,’ which is an alternate track for ‘The End is the Beginning is the End,’ which was on the soundtrack for ‘Batman & Robin,’ consistently known as the worst comic book film ever made. I am not sure this is coincidence or a joke, but it does seem to fit the tone.

As per usual we will have our load of crummy moviegoers that either will not understand the film or won’t find it meets their standards in comicbook attachment to the story.
My guess is that this movie will be great.
