Little did the press sitting in front of a healthy Steve Jobs know that they were witnessing history that storied day, seven years ago. It’s crazy to watch the original iPod announcement and peek back to when Apple press conferences didn’t receive a cult follow. Happy BDay, iPod; we love ya.

Wow. One thing that strikes me as “amazing” is how much weight Steve has lost since this video was taken. His face looks plump in this video, whereas now, it’s skinny… real skinny. Blame it on the iPod. Hey, iPod diet, I may have started something here. : )
After watching that video, even more interesting that they’re moving away from FireWire. Didn’t realize they invented it.
