I don’t know about the OS, but they could have done a better job picking the icons! It just looks …well… boring!

Especially if you compare it to the iPhone, etc..

Beauty and the beast versus functionality it seems a difficult to grasp combination. A hit and mis the smarthphone industrie suffers with, Iphone very nice top software lacks on the call me call you bit , blackberry sleek fast great mail just that, Windows Mobile yeah mmmkay messy versatile options needed a pimp to stand out with a touch flo come on. Palm need to take the market serious as it could offer so much more. Apple as a newbe in the market is a winner even if the iphone lacks on the phone side it appeals to young and older generations.

What about all the treos floating around out there? This might be interesting if it breathes some new life into old hardware. In fact, maybe a competitor could put a dent (or another nail in the coffin for) in palm hardware sales if an os appears that makes Treos cool (or useful).

Why did Palm drop that mini notebook computer they were working on? They were actually ahead of the curve and for some reason canceled it. Now every computer manufacturer is trying to get into the game as quickly as possible. It could have been theirs.

Wired had an article about the creator of the iPod at Apple now working for Palm. He’s certainly behind whatever Palm does next and I can’t believe that it’s not something in the realm of a mini notebook.
