Oh, what it would be like to work for OXM, or even PTOM for that matter, and be privy to games before all of us schmucks? One can dream.
The chaps at OXM have announced to the world that the first review of Epic’s upcoming sequel to Gears of War has garnered a 9/10.
The new issue of OXM is on-sale today containing the world’s first review of Gears of War 2. And, well, it’s easily as good as we were expecting so it’s nabbed a prime 9/10 score.
OXM Monobrow was the lucky man to play through the stunning single-player campaign and was blown away by it – we reckon it’s the biggest blockbuster you’ll see this year.
We’ve also spent a lot of our own time on the multiplayer in lunchtimes and evenings and that’s awesome too. It’s going to go straight to the top of the most-played games on Xbox Live, no question.
Lucky bastards.
AHH! This game needs to come out already. All the screen shots look absolutely amazing. This is my pick for game of the year.

Looks ok, wonder if it will beat the 9.5 given to Resistance 2 by impartial IGN…
Fanboyism aside, I think I’m going to get more enjoyment out of Resistance 2.
Though between my roommates and I, we’ll play both games and I’m sure enjoy both…
But the scale of Resistance 2 just feels bigger and better.
This game is going to be the biggest game out this year. I dont know about you guys but there has been hype for this game ever since i finished the first one 2 years ago. Just looking at screens and vids are killing me. I’ve been reading a lot of blogs and ppl saying that theres nothing excitingly new in the game. Well even though thats half true there is some new cool features. Partial destroyable cover, new weapons, horde mode, sweet executions, and hopefully a gravitating and exciting storyline. Besides the multiplayer the story is what i think made the first game. As i played it, i thought to myself man this storyline kinda drags, theres so much info that they havent answered yet. They gotta make a second. Finally my prayer has been answered only one more day ugh y cant it be right now
I’m so unsure of whether to get it… I enjoyed campaign well enough in the first GOW but never liked multiplayer at all. Horde sounds like a blast but for how long? There are like five games on the way within a month I am interested so I’m going to wait until I see the general fan reaction to everything before I invest in one.
