FIrst, I'd like to know how long a video I can shoot at HD. Second, I'd like to know just how good the HD video is. I'd also like to know if I can shoot HD in Macro mode. I'd like to know if this camera also has micro mode. I'd like to see a pic of this camera with the lens closed. It's nice to see a camera that works with a Mac. I watch all my tv on my Mac using EyeTv, and it comes up on my screen in HD by just using a regular antenna in my room. No cable fees. Full screen. beautiful. Of course, lots of info is not shot on HD, and looks it. One of the things you noticed in HD now is that new documentaries cutting to speaking people will use heavy filters to cut down on the sharpness, as the new HD lenses can be brutal. THey say the very newest sytems for HD films have special setups that make the HD look like film, and also do more selective focusing like film cameras. Most HD lenses and camera seems to have real deep depth of field, and will not isolate things the way you see in most movies. (I'm talking major film production). I don;t know why these HD camera have such depth of field.
Anyway, one of the problems buying a camera like this in a store is that the video that you can text is always in store movies....

year... it's good review for me.
Samsung new camera TL34HD is so small size and useful touchscreen on it. This camera seems to be very easy interface and simple to handle it. plus, HD recording is not bad. As you mentioned, it would be good camera for social usage. I'll check more about it's transcoding in HD files.
