by Peter Ha on October 30, 2008

We’re not a movie blog, we know, but we are a day away from one of my favorite holidays and I came across this Top 10 Nightmare-Maker Movies list from Blockbuster and thought I’d share. It’s also a sloooooow news day.

What would your top 10 list look like?

10. Pet Semetary
9. The Blair Witch Project
8. Saw
7. The Shining
6. The Grudge
5. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
4. A Nightmare on Elm Street
3. The Ring
2. Halloween
1. The Exorcist

  • Well “The Grudge” sure as hell wouldn’t be on it…

  • What about Stephen King’s “It?”

  • It’s also a sloooooow news day.

Oh sure, you can still say it and it’s cool and insightful, but when we do it’s all like …boring, not newsworthy or off topic. :D

And straight from Captain Crunch himself: “We haven’t had a slow news day at TechCrunch, ever.”

Which completely contradicts your…wait, this is CG. Nevermind. [roflmao]

    10. PHa Semetary
    9. The Bryce Durbin Project
    8. Serkan
    7. The Squiding
    6. The Greg
    5. The Tech Crunch Massacre
    4. A Nicholas on Elm Street
    3. De Vin
    2. Harrington
    1. The Aamoth

    Fixed.

  • The Exorcist would be number one on my list.

BTW, that Winnie the Pooh image in this article is just wild. If they turned it into a movie, that might make the top of the list.

    Mike

  • 1. Three Men and a Little Lady

Nothing compares to the fear I get when I see Guttenberg.
I challenge anybody to try to watch this movie.

  • 1. The 6th Sense
    2. The Reaping
    3. The Blair Witch Project
    4. The Ring
    5. Silence of the Lambs
    6. Butterfly Effect
    7. Seven
    8. The Others
    9. Cell
    10. Gothica

  • They should add 1408 and Quarantine to that list!

  • nightmare on elm street should def. be rated higher than #4 that’s pretty pathetic. all the old movies are way scarier than any new ones. the only reason people like the newer scary movies is because their so gory.
