i have had the rant since it first came out in october of 2008, it does freeze up alot, but other than that its good, all these other problems that some are experiencing its probally due to your lack of taking care of the phone..like seriously how do your buttons manage to fall out?!

Okay for all You people saying you “love your purple rant” let me tell you one of its funnest flaws. there comes a time in every rants life when it decides it doesn’t want to charge anymore. So I called sprint asking them why my phone was doing this: their answer? Oh there’s a error in the battery when all the Rants were made.

somethings wrong with my samsung rant.when i turn it on at the bottom it says loading but when it gets to the main screen it turns of and wont turn back one.help!!!!!!!

Like all you folks that have commented on this POS phone. I too have gone through 3 phones in the last four months with Sprint. My latest phone after 2 refurbs, was brand new out of the box and like the other 2 has issues. Dropped calls, not getting calls, freezing up and Nav svc not, Alarms going off when it isnt set to go off. I to have addressed these issues with Sprint and point blank they dont care, all they want is the green buck and put me in another POS refurbed RANT phone that more than likely have issues too. Im done with this phone! The only thing in my eyes this phone is good for is target practice !

First off, if you are going to talk about English, spell it right. Secondly, you spelled before wrong. Also, mistreated is one word. Lastly, you spelled navigation wrong. Looks like you have some more schooling to do, as well. Why do we need to correct others if we can read it? what the hell is wrong with you people?

On a different note, this phone is okay. It isn’t durable at all, as I previously stated.

Though sometimes when my phone was placed securely in my pocket, locked, i would move around to the point where it would push star-back and then it would unlock itself.

bottom line, this is a good phone, but its durability is very, very low. mine just broke and all i did was have it in my pocket for an hour. my cousin is on her 3rd Rant right now. No, we don’t abuse them.

Well here’s a follow up. After knowing it’s pointless but being urged to take the phone to a Sprint service store, they ordered me a new Rant, I’ve had it a day and already the problems have started. The browser crashed the phone tonight and the IM softare was losing messags

I got my Rant about a year ago and have been fighting with Sprint over the numerous software bugs it has for nearly that whole time. I actually got so disgusted with the problems this phone has that I went back to my old phone. I was forced to go back to the Rant when my old phone began to die. After this last firmware update it is worse than it was before and still the browser crashes the phone, the camera is no longer reliable, the MP3 player stops and starts, it hangs up when imputing text. I have written Sprint Corp, I have tried dealing with their customer support, as poor as it is. I’ve been referred to account specialists department where a woman named Sophia was supposed to contact me with 24 hours after two days of not getting a call, I contacted her. I received an auto reply that she would be out of the office and at 4pm PT on the date given she would be back I still had not gotten any response from her as to why she did not call as she said she would. I even contacted the person she gave as a contact in her absence and got no reply from him. This has been since the second of October and I STILL have yet to get a response. I have will have been with Sprint for 5 years when my current contract expires and I will not sign another with them and I WILL tell as many people in that time what a terrible company they are and urge them to try a different carrier

Honestly , I Don’t Advise Anymore To Purchase It.
I bought A Sprint Samsung Rant About 3 Months Ago & I Must Say. The Alarm In My Opinion Works Just Fine .
Texting , It’s Complicated . I Wasn’t Sure If It Was My Phone Or What , But , I Always Have To Send My Messages , At Least Twice .
The Internet . Damn i Can’t ExplainHow Irrating It Is , I Have To Constantly Reset My Phone , Adn At The Botton It Says , ” Entering Sprint ” & That’s Fucked Up To Me .
But, If You Want To Get RingTones 4 Free .
