Do they just have an idea machine over there at Asus? This thing is great! Of course, it’s not very often that you have to take all the bits out of your PC case and travel with it separately, but if you did this would be indispensible. It’s mid-tower sized and has room for an ATX motherboard and everything. It’s even got front ports. And it folds flat! This is too much! I don’t know why this is so impressive to me; I just love it.

  • I think this is a really cool and great concept.
I dont care about traveling, i am thinking in terms of storing inventory and shipping parts.
I just hope this thing doesnt fold back into itself when you drop it, bending whatever components you have inside.

  • So basicly you take all the components out for travel, then put them back in? If I had to take a desktop, I would take the HD out and bring it as a carry on, since that is really the only delicate part of a computer.

  • that’s right, great idea! i love it too!

  • Yes the benefit of this is definately to save on shipping costs. A great idea. ASUS does IKEA for the computer industry. Why has this taken so long folks?

  • :), I hope that they can cut down the shipping costs too.

  • interesting idea

however other than being (hopefully) being slightly cheaper to ship (shipped all folded up). I’m not really sure how useful it will be… (I suppose when you get sick of it and sell it on ebay it will be cheaper for you to ship =p)

I’d be concerned about noise (rattles when actually in use) I’d also have to see one to see how sturdy it is when deployed.

  • Very nice. Great for packing a server in my luggage.
