I'm not really sure how useful it will be... (I suppose when you get sick of it and sell it on ebay it will be cheaper for you to ship =p) I'd be concerned about noise (rattles when actually in use) I'd also have to see one to see how sturdy it is when deployed. interesting idea

If I had to take a desktop, I would take the HD out and bring it as a carry on, since that is really the only delicate part of a computer. I dont care about traveling, i am thinking in terms of storing inventory and shipping parts.
