Yes, the bolts are real. Real plastic. In fact, I scraped away what looks like metal on the mid-section and that is plastic as well. It’s a decent around-the-house/garage/basement light. Not the most ‘rugged’, but a bright, small handy light.

Instead I picked up a set of Dorcy 165 and 140 lumens from Costco for $30. (four inch and three inch.)

I use them when I walk at night. For a city of 1.5 million people, San Antonio has a heck of a lot wildlife coming out to play when it gets dark. Deer, skunks, coyotes, snakes – they scare the crap out of me.

I took a handgun course two weeks ago and the instructor was showing off his Pelican 130 lumens. Jeez! $100+ for a flashlight. That’s just crazy.
