For long-haired dogs, maybe, but I find that for short-haired breeds like my Boxer it doesn’t work very well. Instead, a plain $9-10 grooming blade does just as fabulous a job as depicted in the photo.

I have one of these. It was almost 40 dollars and thats for the small one. This thing is the best. It removes tons of undercoat from the dog. If you have a dog that sheds a lot then this is a really good investment. First time we used it we removed enough hair to make another small dog.
