AT&T bought Centennial Communications Corp for $944 million today in order improve AT&T’s coverage in the Midwest, Southeast, and Puerto Rico.
The purchase will add 1.1 million customers to AT&T’s 74.9 million base. The move follows Verizon’s purchase of Alltel last week.

Nothing happens, maybe you will have to upgrade your phone and if this is required by Att, then will be for free, but your contract will remain but with new att terms and penalty if early cancel
Nothing will change. AT& T will honor the Centennial contract. There may be minor changes but if they change the terms you have the right to cancel without penalty. It will be like when a credit card company sends you a notice that they changed the terms, you can opt-out.
I work for one of the companies.
Will centennial keep its name and will it acquire all the phones available to AT&T users?
