Those also match old joystick pc ports.. before the magical world of USB.

I think that maybe it is for those old time joy sticks or maybe to plug in a keyboard. Then again it could just all be a design to make everyone freak out and wonder.

Almost looks like a modified Serial Cable. But they only have 5 pins on top and 4 on the bottom.

I was thinking Genesis as well. I think it’s just a fake port like you say, simply aesthetic
