VGChartz is reporting that Gears 2 has sold over 2.1 million copies on its first day with 1.4 million sold in NA and 700,000 sold everywhere else. Halo 3 sold 3.8 million in its first week, but Gears launched on a Friday which puts them at a disadvantage because their first week sales only account for two days. However, the numbers are expected to be roughly 3.8 million copies sold after week two, which is actually 9 days. I think Microsoft has found a new franchise.
Who thinks the third title will be about the Pendulum Wars?
Well , to be honest the ending was a letdown. :(. Was expecting a bigger BOSS fight and was waiting for using the Hammer of Dawn and they keep it for the last fight .That was bad. Insane mod was rough though !

It definitely will not be about the Pendulum Wars. Gears of War 2 proposed more questions than it answered. Gears of War 3 has to be a continuation of 2, or else I would be pissed. They need to wrap it up and answer all the questions. Plus the whole point of Gears of War is fighting Locusts, not other humans. All though I could see a spin off of the franchise by making a prequel about the Pendulum Wars.
I’m not sure I’d want to fight more locusts. The sub-par endings are beginning to wear on me. I haven’t been following the comics/books, so I don’t know the actual story about this trilogy, but I wouldn’t doubt it if Epic/MS branched out the franchise into the Pendulum Wars.
I’m thinking (hoping) that all the questions will be answered in the third one. It was made to be a trilogy and we all know that the first and second installments are useless for information, but maybe way down the line I could see them branching out, it wouldn’t surprise me at least. Everyone wants to make money, but I don’t know how well it would take off.
I’m thinking about picking up the comics/books, if you do before me let me know what you think.
you guys are stupid all you care about is the campaign no one cares about the campaign if you bought it for the campaign return it because you are a waste of everones time. the game was made to be played online but i guess it was made for you scrubs that think your good and dont even play online

What would they make a single player campaign if no one cared about it, you idiot?! The game was NOT meant or only online. It was meant for BOTH. That’s why both single player and multiplayer components are in the game. Comprende?

WHY IS IT THAT MANY GAMERS WHO PLAYS OR PLAYED GEARS OF WAR 2 ARE SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THE GAME’S ENDING STORY? THAT IS THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THE GAME’S STORY–FOR NOW, THE WHOLE THING IS ONE BIG PUZZLE TO BE PUT TOGETHER SOMEDAY. THOSE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ARE ALL PART OF GEARS’ STORY, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THERE WILL BE A THIRD GAME, AND THAT IS FOR SURE. bio is right its obvious they are gonna make a third one and if they didnt i wouldnt blame them. its a great game with good online except for when douche bag people leave right before the match start but it has a good campaign and everything so…yeah….
