Here’s the Sirius lineup for you, to go with the XM lineup we wrote about earlier today.
I’m not as familiar with Sirius as am I with XM (being an Opie and Anthony fan and all), but I do like how Sirius is all, “Don’t like X? Try Y instead!” Um, no. We like X, meaning we’re likely to hate Y.
The comments over at Orbitcast are worth reading. Holy smokes are people upset about this.
Like that old saying goes, you can’t get people to protest [important issue of the day], but take away their [trivial piece of entertainment] and all Hell breaks loose.

So far not bothered by this - a few of my presets changed, but on the ride into work this morning it sounds like the stations were really just re-named. So far no complaints.
Will happily trade Holiday, Dance, Hip hop, Country, Latin and Religion stations for O&A. Happily. Would have loved to see them show up on my dial today, but not willing to pay $48 a year for one more show.
My Inno is almost exclusively tuned to 202 for O&A. When they’re not on live, I’m likely listening to recorded portions of their show that I missed throughout the day.
The only other channels I go to on occassion were Squizz (now “Octane”) and the XL comedy channels (now “Raw Dog”). So the channel switcheroo doesn’t mean much to me.
However, if O&A get forced onto Howard 100 or 101, I’ll be livid.
I just can’t believe they got rid of the old school hip hop radio stations. Come one that’s just ain’t fresh!
im really bothered by the removal of backspin, the strobe and boombox…it seems that sirius XM isnt a fan of black/related music. i dont have the whole list in front of me, but i think a classic rnb/soul station bit the dust too.
sirius sucks strobe and backspin channels were great stations and there replacements are not comaprable contact sirius to bring them back these two channels were like 70 % of my music listening time i basically was paying for sirius for those two channels what the f
Hella mad that Backspin is gone, This was one of the best show on Sirus. I really enjoyed this station, it brought back so many memories.. I will be sure to contact Sirius and let m’ know. I enourage others to do the same……
