BGR is reporting that T-Mo is having their Customer Delight day where T-Mo customers can get 100 bonus minutes just for stopping by the store and 200 for bringing a friend. If you refer a customer you get a $25 credit on your next bill and if you at T-Mobile @Home you get the first month free. Some resctrictions apply, but I’m kind of sad I switched to AT&T now. Sort of smart, given the absolute customer satisfaction peril the telecom industry is in. But still quite misguided – a wham-bam-thank-you-m’am stunt like that is sure to get some PR value (heck, here we are talking about it) but doesn’t exactly foster a long-term relationship with even those customers who do stop by to collect their “delight.” Missing the “step beyond” factor.
I sure wish T-mobile was going to carry the new blackberry’s. It’s still a good way to drive customers into there stores.
I’m going to the t-mobile store. My G1 is running low on anytime minutes.
During these rainy days in Seattle this is one of the few bright spots to look forward too. Thank you TMobile for making my day more enjoyable. I’ll just go to your downtown store to be delighted.
Oh wait it is closed. F U BASTARDS
Great promo. Apparently a system outage this morning, at least in Pasadena, CA.
I stopped by a T-Mobile store today (original, not a reseller) — the rep didn’t know anything about the promotion so couldn’t offer anything. It was in in the Washington DC metro area.
Shouldn’t you point to the Deutsche Telekom’s privacy-disasters (“loosing” data, spying…) in Germany instead of their marketing-gimmicks in the US? – Just have a first look at the German and English Wikipedia.
