Its working just fine for me. It literally only took 5 minutes for the download and the update, way to go MS!!!
the install was less than five minutes for me, and navigation is smooth and intuitive.
the avatar creation seems…well, a let-down. it looks nothing like me, and it would be nice to have some control over the color of clothes. i guess it’s a good thing that the whole avatar thing is really the least important aspect of the UI.
something i was really hoping to see was better media playback. the music playback never looked that good, and there is no improvement. i was seriously hoping for album art, at least if such is embedded. no such luck. lameness.
had it since the weekend.. been enjoying it a lot. No complaints at all.
agreed no media playback updates. on those screens the user interface still looks lame, it’s no faster to load huge collections, and there are tons of codec and file size issues still.
I had a problem with the audio when I got the NXE on Monday, new install didn’t fix it and the HDD trick to get it back doesn’t keep the sound from going away.
Ripping games to the hard drive?
I downloaded gears of war 2, but after the sound was already not working, im just going to delete gow and try all the tricks and see if i can get it to work.
Works fine, but I think it is too “Wii” like with the avatars and stuff. Kind of kiddie like. A little too childish, but I guess that is the market they were focusing on, trying to get some of those Wii users to get an Xbox 360.
The dashboard is cool. Kind of Zune like in a way. Runs very smooth, but I could have done without the avatars.
It’s working fine for me. I downloaded the netflix service and I added like 50 Titles to my “watch instantly Q” I have a ps3, wii, and 360…The 360 is my favorite system. The avatars was a let down because unlike the wii, you cant position your eyes and nose and eyebrows. or change the size of you eyes and stuff. Plus you cant change you clothes color!

no complaints but I wonder why the “male” avatars pose like flaming homosexuals…not that there’s anything wrong with that (Seinfeld moment, heh)

Everything worked smooth for me. My thing with the avatars is that it doesn’t take away from my experience so I don’t really care if its there. If it really bothers you that much pick one of the random defaults and just ignore it. And Netflix, wow finally MS did something right!
Just dont understand why you have to have gold membership for netflix, im already paying for netflix. Lame.
iisue with sound in pgr4
Had some issues with new arrivals after i updated to NXE. The tab shows some error whenever i try to check it. A few restarts and now its working . ” Unable to resolve soemthing with the marketplace ” ..something like that if i rem correctly. The avatar is , well , kiddish .

For the first couple of days my netflix streaming service was working just fine. Now all of a sudden I get an annoying error message telling me to call for for help….
