i think that the laptop touch costs a lot of money. whats the big deal about a touch screen. if you want to touch the screen so that then touch the regualr screen it feels the same….. but if some one got one for me thats a different story.

The LXT was the first, yes, but it’s an enterprise type notebook whereas the tx2 is for consumer consumption, cap’n. The multi-touch on the tx2 is mainly used with the MediaSmart apps like rotating and zooming in/out on photos. There’s also an $800 or so difference in price. I first saw the N-trig screen on that Dell laptop.

World’s first multi-touch notebook *screen*, maybe. Apple has had Multi-Touch trackpads since the MacBook Air. Remains to be seen which is more user-friendly, but Apple is betting touchscreens = sore arms.
