FIRSTTTT BITTTTTCHESSSS… FIRRRST YEEEEEEEEEAHHHHHH
First – Bitches…
This isn’t Engadget.
If you’re going to PEPCOM tomorrow night, please bring the Storm – which you may or may not have. I’d like to see it in person for THE FIRST TIME. Thank you. :)
How does the touchscreen work for typing? Would you feel comfortable ditching real keys for this?
They’re advertising how the keyboard “clicks” while typing. Is this similar to the iPhone where a clicking sound is made after hitting each key or does this somehow create a more keyboard-like feel as BB has advertised?
I would like to know too. The commercial isn’t clear. Is there only a clicking sound, or is there some sort of physical key that is dynamically created on the screen to give the flat touch screen a tactile button?
The whole screen is one big button so it will push in and you physically feel the click. SUPPOSEDLY it will feel localized.
How well does copy paste work? Like copying text and/or URLs. I might ditch my iPhone for the Storm JUST because of that
What happens when you stick an AT&T sim card in it? Does it do EDGE or 3G or any data at all? Calls? Texts?
Does it support flash or divx video?
No Flash, for sure.
I doubt it will do divx, too.
I saw it does video…what format will it be then?
My guess is that it will support the same video formats that current Blackberries support. Here are the current supports formats, according to blackberry.com:
* MPEG-4 Part 2 – Simple Profile + bvops (including DivX? files in this format)
* MPEG-4 Part 2 – Advanced Simple Profile
* H.263 Profile 0 and Profile 3 (Supported file formats are .avi, .3gp, .mp4, .mov, Video – up to QCIF (176×144))
* WMV 9 Simple Profile Video Decoder
The following video file extensions are also supported:
* .avi containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
* .mov containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
* .3gp containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
* .mp4 containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
* .m4v containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
* .mpg containing MPEG4 Part 2, H.263, H.264
So, it looks like I was wrong on divx. But, Flash is a big no.
sms, txt, and email, right?
visual voicemail?
gps w/ turn by turn directions (or is that the whole V navigator service you have to pay a monthly fee for)
how about tethering?
Exchange directpush compatible?
Will it blend?
Again. This isn’t Engadget.
..does it work properly yet? I hear it’s “broken”…alot…
Are keyboard shortcuts completely gone with the physical keyboard?
For example, in a web page, I can press (T)op and (B)ottom to navigate quickly, (C)ompose in mail, etc. Is there way to do that now?
Come on, Peter. Give us the goods. Kendrick’s already posted a pic. You gonna let that old man out scoop you?
I want to know how much this going to cost in Canada and the cost per month (the plans)
Can you please send it to me. Email me for my address! Thanks!
If you were to take out the Vodaphone sim card and put it in an unlocked GSM phone, that supported U.S. frequencies, would the Unlocked phone work with your Verizon number and just roam on AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s networks?

Slingplayer! I would love to see sling on the BB Touchscreen.
Will it sych with a Mac. Will it work with iTunes sych for all media that is not DRM’d? It isn’t an iPhone killer for Mac owners until it fully integrates with with music, movies, and podcasts.
1. BES work on the US version?
2. True that Suretype is only option in portrait? (ugg)
3. What apps are available that take advantage of this touch screen
Please don’t use 11 paragraphs like Mossberg did to remind us that the BlackBerry has a touch screen. Duh.
What is the max SDcard it can take? I know it ships with the 8GB, but how big can it go? Is there a max?
Does it have the god-awful font?
