Google launched Gmail themes yesterday and, wow, are they hot. It’s nice to give the Web 2.0 email standard a makeover from the standard skin, but are you using them yet? Did you even know that the option was there under settings? (last tab) Check ‘em out if you didn’t and sound off with the theme you’re rock’n in the comments. Me? Ninja.
Are you using Gmail themes yet?
For some reason, I don’t have access to the new themes. I’m seeing the newer version (I think), but when I go to settings… no themes. How is that possible that some people can use the new features and others can’t?
I also do not have access to the Themes yet. Just waiting for google to roll it on out to me
I don’t have the new Themes tab yet, either. Google rolls interface updates out incrementally, which means that some (tech bloggers, for instance) get the newest stuff before others (commoners).
We’ll likely see the new Themes tab by the beginning of next week.
the themes are great. i have been waiting a long time for something like this. better Gmail and Gmail redesign just slowed things down too much. i hope they come out with iGoogle themes to match. it would be nice to have a uniform theme across all major Google products (ie. Gmail, iGoogle, Reader…yeah, that’s about it)

I use stylish for Firefox and installed the Globex Design for gmail and it’s awesome. I may try Gmail’s actual designs to see what they look like, but the Globex Stylish design is very clean. And plus, you can do more stuff with Stylish like get rid of the ads, etc etc.

I’m using the “Shiny” theme and I totes love it.
Yes - Shiny looks the best to me as well.
NINJA!!! Two other themes I will likely rotate with from time to time is graffiti and shiny.

Many people seem to love the shiny theme and also many people seem to be searching (just like I did as soon as gmailthemes came out) for a matching igoogle theme… I hope someone will pick up on this and create a shiny igoogltheme!
Shiny is good. But I am using mountains…. And I am very bitter that they did not release a proper Pirate theme. Argh!!! :)
