The BlackBerry Storm (our review) launches tomorrow and speed tests are no doubt going to be conducted many times over comparing the latest BlackBerry against every phone out there, but here is real world test of the top two touchscreen phones. Without spoiling the results, lets just say the BlackBerry does just fine against the Jesusphone in a real world test. There isn’t anything scientific about the test as the tester was waiting for his flight at LaGuardia but the results speak for themselves louder than the background noise – just turn down your speakers before hitting play.

  • I’m no expert, but when doing speed tests, shouldn’t you hit the button on both phones at the same time? Idiot.

  • God damn it I wanna return my jesus phone..

    • why would u want to do that? the storm rendered every single page incorrectly, and it’s pretty damn noticeable to. if u want a real browser, get the iphone. and uhh how many bars did each phone have?

  • I just bought a Blackberry Storm after having Palm Treos for about 4 years with Verizon….let me tell you, the Storm is about one third the speed of the Treo in accessing virtually any website. I’ve tested it against other Treos and it does not even come close to the Treo’s speeed so i imagine it is MUCH slower than an iPhone. I have had conference calls with Verizon Tech and Blackberry and they say there is nothing that they can do and it is a problem with the storm in particular. I get much of my news from my PDA so this is completely unacceptable…last time I accessed the web this slowly was with a 28K modem. Back it goes to Verizon…beware.

  • I have a blackberry storm, and have fiddled with the iphone on the pathetic AT&T network.. its faster, thats a fact, but the Storm doesn’t struggle to load anything, nor does it load anything slowly. I’m full satisfied with the speed and access my Blackberry gives me on the 3G CDMA network. Also, only paid $99 doll hairs for the Storm, and I have coverage, and besides being able to have ‘apps’ I can do something amazing, call people almost anywhere. Without having to worry about shitty customer service, bad reception, and funky noises coming from my car stereo before I get a call. ;)

  • The new iphone loads the brower so much faster than the storm. My friend put me to shame this weekend when we were doing our our little speed test. I still love my storm though, just gotta figure how to supe this thing up.
