I started watching shows on the iphone a few days ago from http://3click.tv They have a subscription service that streams about 8500 episodes of ad free TV into the iPhone (or Mac and PC)
Works well if you have a wifi or 3g connection, The idea of this much tv in your pocket is so cool! I suspect there will be more of these sites popping up in the future but so far this one really delivers.

Slingbox is very cool but annoys my family at home when I change channels on them and upload speeds pretty crappy from my DSL so I started using http://parkmytv.com which is a 'hosted tv' service for place-shifting devices. I sent them my box and for $49/mo I now have super fast bandwidth ie. video quality, no channel conflicts and free reboots if it locks up. It's a beta currently but accepting limited new customers, was lucky enough to get in and lovin it.

it streams via quicktime from orb over safari.

I tested orb live free version and it seems to stream usirius to an iphone perfectly. I had huge issues with this over safari. I have no idea why, but it seems to work flawlessly now. I also tested a few videos I had briefly and they seem to work as well. I tested over 3G and wifi. I haven't gotten an edge connection yet.

One thing that could be seen as a good or bad thing. Just like pandora's app and unlike the ipod functionality, orb won't continue streaming audio if you back out of the application.

I recently starting using http://parkmytv.com which hosts my tuner card for me and I'm now getting MUCh better video quality since I'm not limited to my home DSL upload speeds and I pleasantly no longer annoy those at home watching TV while I'm switching channels on them while away :) I think they are in trials now but I was able to get an account early on...

How is it different from logging into orb from Safari? Right now I can access orb without a problem except for streaming usirius to my iphone. If it fixes that somehow then they have my $10, otherwise I don't see why I would pay $10 for a slightly different version of what they offer for free.
