It’s not a big deal for everyday use, but that kind of read speed would really be helpful for HD video editing. Working with 4K footage is a lot easier off a couple SSDs. Same with games, they’re passing a TON of information from drive to video memory.

I hear what you’re saying, but I also think it’s important to open the doors for future innovation, even if what we have is good enough for now.

Do we really need large SSD’s with fast read/write speeds? What if we have maybe a 32GB SSD for quick access things (OS, Browser, common utilities) and then a larger SSD with slower access speeds for storing movies, photos, etc.?
