Vudu is getting into the Black Friday tussle with sales on their movies. There are going to be four HDX titles, six HD movies, and a bunch of standard definition movies all for $4.99 each. So if you’re looking for a reason to stay off the roads on Black Friday, pick up the appropriate beverages Wednesday and plan for a snow day with Vudu, Friday.
When will the people that make those side-by-side picture comparisons learn that they’re pretty much useless unless they’re showing the same thing, not a different portion of a larger scene?? This one isn’t the worst I’ve seen, though the portion in “HDX” is obviously more in focus (it’s in the foreground) and complex…
But I’ve honestly seen one of these things that had a nice blue sky and simple landscape rendered in some fancy format, while the other half of the image in the standard format was the edge of a cityscape or something equally difficult for any standard-def source to replicate…so of course it was all fuzzy and lame…
