Online music store Beatport, which specializes in electronic and house and all that fun stuff, has quite the holiday contest going on right now. From now until December 23 buying a song there enters you to win two prize packs.
The prize includes that handheld Pacemaker DJ device, a copy of Traktor Scratch Pro, red and white control vinyl, V-Moda Vibe headphones, $100 worth of Beatport tracks and a t-shirt. That’s all one prize pack; if you win you get two copies of all those items, you know, to give to a friend (or sell on eBay).
To get you started, I recommend any song by the duo Goldfish. Top notch. I’d link to the them but the site uses some weird Flash interface that is long overdue for an update.
Given that I’d trade my firstborn (if I had one…) for a Pacemaker, I guess buying a track is a reasonable compromise!
Right. 9 tracks of mostly minimal tech later… (including 1 Goldfish track) I should be well sorted!
