I was hoping we’d make it through this Black Friday without one of these incidents, but unfortunately it’s happened again: If you haven’t heard already, a worker at a Long Island Wal-Mart was crushed underneath the feet of hundreds of shoppers while trying to hold back the crowd. Shopping events are notoriously dangerous in this way, but I’d hoped people would have learned by now to be more careful, or at least help the poor man up. Instead, they thronged over and around him and he was pronounced dead at the hospital this morning. Shocking.
Our condolences to the man’s family and friends.

A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers. These two must really love and Just one day after a shopping trip on Saturday (Octobober). This was horrible. I saw this on my local new station and i was shocked. They actually pushed in the doors?!.. And then trampled a worker? I thought the holidays were about cheer? Things have changed. Shopping events are so dagerous in this way but hoped that the people would have leared and should be more careful.
they should give the death penalty to all the customer that borught down the door… people are idiots
“A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers.”
This happened a couple of miles from my home. While a worker was killed, the woman was released from the hospital with minor injuries and her unborn child was unharmed. Thankfully she did not miscarry.
This is so sad, they really should be handing out vouchers for every product they have on sale so things like this will not happen. Tragedy like this make you wonder how it is going to save the economy?
The spirit of christmas is dead. Humanity is doomed…….
These types of sales should ONLY be on-line. This would avoid future tragedies.
The woman who was 8 months pregnant chose to be there and shouldn’t have especially with Black Fridays having a history of fatalities & serious injuries; her fault. I believe WalMart was not at fault because no matter how much precautions/security you set up, These axxholes thrive on making that day as chaotic as possible. They are materialistic morons and will keep doing the same thing because they only see the material side of Christmas and they also use the chaos to steal (which can’t be good financially for the Retailers). I do hope that someone can come up with a way which would allow individuals a way to get their ‘good bargains’ without putting anymore lives in danger. As far as this WalMart incident, people need to be arrested and fined and/or jailed for their participation. If you stomped on him, you go to jail on a min attempted murder charge. If you caused him to fall you should be at least fined. If that was my store, it would have been closed for a couple days and paid leave for my employees.
people CHOOSE to look at the materialistic side of christmas because they expect to get gifts. That is soooo wrong. Someone could have at least tried to help the poor man up!!!!! damn, people, i mean come on!!!!! put others in front of yourself and quit being so selfish!!!!!! help someone when they need help!!!!!!
And by the way, it was that prego lady’s choice to go to walmart on black friday, but she has the right to just as anyone else would, prego or not. it wasn’t her fault, but it wasn’t walmarts fault either. it was people who are selfish and materialistic. i would have stopped and helped the man or the woman and helped them up no matter what. Christmas has the word “CHRIST” in it for a reason. that’s because it was the day “CHRIST” was born. christmas is a season of giving, not taking. they say that when you give, you usually get more in return than you would if you took a gift that someone bought you.
