Amazon.com has the HP 2133 netbook for $299. The 2133 features an 8.9-inch screen, 1GHz VIA C7-M processor, 512MB of RAM, a 4GB flash hard drive, and Linux as the operating system.
Those specs are about as minimal as they get but $299 is a pretty low price for this particular netbook.

Considering today is Black Friday and holiday shopping frenzy is underway as I type, why would anyone want to buy this puny little thing when you could get a full-size laptop with some pretty respectable specs for another $100 more?
Because not everyone wants a full size laptop. In fact, a lot of people want something small. And you don’t need a lot of specs if you are using your machine for email and browsing.
I am very fond of HP products, HP 2133 notebook, disappointed me its only 4GB and support Linux, any way its good.
