It doesnt matter if he's using a speaker cable or not. Your amp is basically a speaker with an amp section attached, it makes no difference. Plus that short cable can just as well be used to run from an amp head to a cab. Monster cables are shit for what you pay for. I actually made most of the cables in my home theatre setup myself. Probably more expensive than buying cheap cables but at least I know I used high quality parts all around.
