Whoa, whoa, whoa, here’s a big 42-inch 1080p TV for under $600 at Best Buy. Dynex? Sure, why the hell not? Brightness is pegged at 300 cd/m2, the contrast ratio is 2000:1, and the two speakers push out 12 watts. Inputs include: 2 HDMI, 1 S-video, 2 component, 1 composite, and 1 VGA. Oh, and there’s a headphone jack.
If you have a Best Buy credit card you can get 18 months no interest financing, too. That’s like $33 a month. You can afford that! Come on, you know you want it.

GARBAGE!!! I used to work for Geek Squad and we would get at least 3 Dynex or Insignia TVS a week PURE GARBAGE!! Save your money and go with a better brand.
Yeah right Alex….”used to work for Geek Squad” operative word being “used”; so were you FIRED for LYING because this TV is anything BUT garbage, it’s an EXCELLENT television at a GREAT price which equals VALUE!!!!
I bought a dynex tv several months ago and I love it and have had no problems with it all and I think it is a wonderful TV!
Is Dynex a US based company? Are there any TVs made in the US?
it is best buy’s product. great tv, especially if your using it for gaming like ps3 n xbox 360. amazing picture. just like any other more famouse brands, but cheaper. i say go with dynex. it does look cheap, but once u install it in your room and with all the other things around it you dont even notice what brand it is. it just looks amazing
This TV is up on my living room and everyone whos comes to visit thinks it’s a high end tv. i played around with the contrast and color settings so what if it’s 2000:1 Ratio T.V. looks efen awsome on my PS3 Gaming and Blu-rays any negative comments about it just isn’t true. I’m buying me a 2nd one.
currently using and have been using this tv as a monitor for my computer, its not garbage.. its done the trick just fine.. also have my PS and Xbox hooked up and it can handle the HD just fine from both.. for the price its a good investment and a great alternative if you can not afford a “top brand” hdtv.
I bought the tv. I noticed that when I watch sports (especially basketball), there are a lot of pixels. I see the pixels when a person is zoomed in there are small objects in the background.
However, with the price, I think that it’s an excellent TV. If you’re into watching anything that doesn’t require a lot of motion, then this is the right television for the price.
I have a 26″ in my room and i love it, i’ve had mine since Black Friday 2008 and haven’t had a problem yet, the price was just under 400 when i got it and even after the sales the price is still low. The quality is great especially with my xbox 360 i can’t complain.
I agree – this is a great TV for the price. I’m not a LCD snob, but I saw this side by side with one at twice the price and literally couldn’t tell a bit of difference in the picture.
Not the best TV – but certainly not junk.
YEa right
Ima a balla-holic! Loves me some Dynex lovin’ pimpins
