Apple to sell more music without DRM, tomorrow?

Rumor has it that Apple will start selling DRM free content from Sony, Universal, and Warner starting December 9th. Apple has received much criticism in the past for their strict and rather dictatorial management of iTunes, however this could be a sign of things to come.

So what do you think? Is Apple delivering an early Christmas present? Could we really be moving towards a more liberal DRM system?

  • It was never apple that was forcing the DRM issue it has always been the record ladels forcing apple to use DRM and all the haters use it as an excuse to hate on apple. Apple has made it quite clear that they want 100% DRM free music.

  • I agree with gianpo. Pity apple didn’t have a bit more cloute to get rid of DRM to begin with so there would be no controversy.

    DRM sucks plain and simple.
