Apple is expected to start construction on its first French retail store later this week, to be located in a chic area of Paris. (“A chic area of Paris” is redundant, by the way.) Actually, it’s right by the Louvre, where thousands of plundered ancient treasures are stored for all to see.
So that makes five European countries where Apple has at least one retail store: the UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and now France.
Should everything go according to plan, the store would be open by next autumn.

Unfortunately the store will not open on time because all the workers will be on strike. :)
No one strikes better than the French!!
Yep, that’s right. That’s why they have a good health care, minimum 5 weeks paid vacations and good public services.
