Everytime I play GHWT I find reasons why I hate it. The ghost notes, how you have to hit both cymbals for star power. I don’t like it.

Rock Band 2 is my favorite game and I wish I had never purchased Guitar Hero!

well dude! i personally like GHWT better then RB2 due to alot because I own it on wii! I say the wii ghwt is more like the 360 ghwt then the wii rb2 being like rb2 360! mainley on dlc! 60% of rock bands DLC songs cant be downloaded to wii version and the track packs are crapy stand alone games not iportable to SD!, ghwt dose not have track packs but the only songs not downloadable for wii are the metallica album and jimi hendrix wich I found the songs I probley wont be downloading and System of a down Toxcity and BYOB cant be d0wnloaded for wii on rb2(wikipeida) I will say that I have heard of Rock Band Beatles and will buy that due to e being a major beatles fan, but Im also getting gh metallica due to the awesom double kick pedal! and by the way if people say rb is better because of graphics ur being childish! i dont rely care on that! i just care on not blowing my money on expensive consoles just for graphics when its on a cheaper console for less! im still a classic old fashing guitar hero fan rather then the newer realease due to a company split up!

I like the comments above, but what is everyone elses’ take on the difference in Drums between RB and GH? I have yet to play GH drums, but I like the idea of cymbals….. I want to buy one soon and am trying to decide between the two, Thanks. Right now I am leaning towrds RB 2.

by the way josh this is because RB 2 scans the pitch and frequency of the notes while GHWT scans syllable so if you good at keeping in pitch RB 2 is easy if you speak quickly like myself GHWT is easy yes, 100% BYOB on expert with mic, however i find RB 2 sing nearly impossible cos, i can’t keep pitch, and yes that’s how they work I’ve helped build a custom mic.

May i point out at this time by biased only means something when they don’t say they are going to be biased, as he said he might be, so it is easy to take his word for it and “take it with lots of salt.” and by the way the RB guitar is so much better used both and liked the RB one more, it’s more comftable, and dosn’t have retared outcrops between the buttons stoping the guitar slide. and yes Hotel California sucks it’s too slow. by the way and last of all the rb 2 song list rocks, BYOB or chop suey? What i’ve done or one step closer?

Bro. you are completely right about just about everything you said. thank you SO MUCH! i have both on hold at the game store right now and have basically been trying to find exactly everything you just said. i hate how GHWT has all of that pop and soft garbage. when i first played Coheed and Cambria’s Welcome Home(one of my fav songs ever) on RB1 i freaked out. and i COMPLETELY agree with you about the guitars. rock abnds guitar is sooo much more realistic, because as a real guitar player, you HAVE to slide. GH kills the technique.

and for those of you saying he is bias, or wrong… he clearly stated at the begening that he may be more in favor of RB because of his taste, and he also gave good reasons for why he feels the way he does about everything. this is mainly @ Dylan for saying he is wrong. how is he wrong? are you saying that GH’s guitar IS more realistic in feel?

The guy who wrote this is completely right, Hotel California is by far one of the crappiest songs ever done, i don’t know what you find good about it.

And lol @ that comment bout GH being easier for singing, Rock Band singing doesn’t take any skill at all, i have even hummed thru a whole song in that game, and aced every one of them, the GH is so much harder to ace in singing.

Then u havent heard enough GH Tunes, because i have heard some pretty sweet melodies, and tunes like Ocarina MDLY, Beethoven’s 5th, Jinglebell rock, Mario Bros, Power Ragers Theme song, and so on. And vocals don’t matter that much.

Rockband guitars aren’t nearly as good as guitar hero guitars
the singing is so much better and harder in Rockband, you can ace just about any song on the mic in guitar hero, but Rock Band takes some skill
and how dare you talk down Hotel California!
