I had to go through quite a few combinations before I found the right fit. The "trees" did not work at all and almost made them sound broken. I had to use a large mushroom for the right and medium for the left and the seal is AMAZING! I could clap my hands in front of my face and not hear it even when the music wasn't all that loud. On top of that the sound is crystal clear with no distortion. Sometime the snare comes through a bit sharp but other than that NO COMPLAINTS and well worth the money I totally disagree with your complaints on the seal, however the right fit takes some time.
