Fuel cells might be reaching a development stage when we will finally see gadgets powered – or at least recharged – by the so-far mythical technology. The latest from MTI Micro utilizes 100% methanol fuel and should provide enough juice for 10,000 songs or 100 hours of video playback per cartridge.

This Mobion charger, as it’s being called, is a self-sufficient charger and outputs its power via USB port. The maker claims it should be able to recharge a cell phone ten times so as long as the price is right, the Mobion charger might be a hit. Just think of traveling with this pocket sized device. No more hunting and peeking for an outlet. Now, onto laptop fuel cells.
