I really don't like my iPod, I have actually gone to the extent of getting 30ft of cord from my computer to my amp to my headphones. It sounds a little better. I want an MP3 player that can output at stereo levels (and let the amp to the rest), support open formats, and have easy to use physical buttons. Also stereo recording capabilities would be nice, as well as DJ playback controls. @Jacob, I know that their later portable CD players had a very lousy amplification method, I’m not sure if this was carried into their Walkmans.

Apple has a lousy sound quality on iPod/Phone. It is worse than a mini-disk I had from Sony years ago. 2. If Sony can merge this with their XPERIA X1 that would be the killer product for me. 3. There's no way of really telling just how large or thin this is going to be until we see it, I guess. Specs sound good though, though I'm sure that Sony will overcharge for it especially with the OLED tech. Maybe they'll overcharge less than Apple for a change...
