TEAC is introducing a monolithic iPod dock that is sure to feel right at home in a chic loft. The ITB1000 packs a 2.1 speaker setup into the single tower, but sadly, the 15Wx2 power rating proves this setup is more sizzle than steak. Besides looking like a monument to power and grace, there doesn’t seem to be anything worthwhile to justify the $400 US price tag. Moving on…

Wow, all that size and only 15 watts of power x 2? You’d expect two towers for stereo sound and at least 100 watts of power to justify the form factor.
Are you sure this isn’t a trouser press which also charges your iPod. Absolutely shocking
15Wx2 is a huge mistake in my opinion! With the size of it, they could have easily given it a good 4-500 watts. especially a sub woofer. who wouldn’t want to hear they’re ipod thumping their living room floor?
Very different review here…and yes it comes with a subwoofer. Maybe worth to get one unit to try out the SQ.

Bought 1 recently and it sounds massive. No wonder it’s so expensive $. I have tested a few songs over a couple of weeks and the bass is superb. I would say there are no similar iPod speakers have the similar sound quality as the iTB1000. Neither those A brand products such as Bose, B&W etc…
