This Friday, we the editors of CrunchGear will be hosting our Gala Online Awards Ceremony complete with dancing bears, punch, and whirling mirror balls. Until then, we invite you, the reading public, to select your favorite – and least favorite – gear of 2008 in our formal 2008 Reader’s Choice Awards. Click through to make your end-of-year picks.
The rules are simple: vote. A pop-up from Survey Monkey should have just appeared. If you want to add something, leave a comment. If enough people want to change the category, we’ll add or delete the item.
Thanks for a great year and I hope you guys enjoy this chance to tell us your favorite gear of 2008.
Here’s the direct link to the poll if the pop-up gets eaten by your browser: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=KXyijkyrSOxY0czoMUgHTQ%3d%3d

How about a link in case the pop-up doesn’t work? Or did I miss it?
I think they forgot the link

The best software I started using in 2008 was Windows Home Server. Best game I played was “The World of Goo”. My most cherished piece of technology continues to be my ipod touch (1g). I don’t like my Sprint HTC Touch, but I love the SERO plan – but not enough to keep me off the iphone once it gets turn-by-turn directions and copy/paste. Maybe next year will be the year.
Happy Holidays, Crunchies!
I wish you guys included a question such as “Best product line of the year” or something just so I could vote for the netbook category as a whole. Also, its also worth mentioning that Linux did VERY well this year partly because of the netbook movement.
