digiframe

Digital picture frames are a popular gift item this time a year. (don’t send one to me, I think they’re worthless) Your mother always told you that people enjoy gifts more if you make ‘em yourself, so why not construct a digiframe out of old parts you have laying around instead of buying one. This way you can customize the frame so it doesn’t look so much like an electronic and it will probably have a larger screen. It could be a great last minute gift.

  • While I see the point of Digital Picture Frames, I never understood why the insane price.

They cost $70-150 or more, all for what is essentially a screen with some small internal memory and a very rudementary CPU to display said images on a screen.

It’s design is generally less complex than the original Gameboy, so why do they have to cost so much and have such a giant hunk of plastic sticking out the back end?
