Attention, Mac World of Warcraft players. You may want to consider holding off on buying that SteelSeries MMO mouse till January, since that’s when the company plans to the release Mac drivers, as I just learned. Without those drivers, those 15 buttons are useless. Well, like three of them work when using SteerMouse, a fancy third-party Mac mouse driver, but that’s not exactly ideal.
I have the mouse sitting on my desk right now, but without Mac drivers I have to use my underpowered MacBook just to try it out under Windows.

If you absolutely can’t wait until January, try:

Version 4.3.9 adds compatibility with the World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse. ControllerMate can now control the color, intensity, and pulse rate of the mouse’s LEDs.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll let y’all know how it works tomorrow.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this mouse myself. Since the SteelSeries website still lists it as pre-order, I’m guessing yours is a pre-release one meant for review. If not, please clue me in as to which store has them available, as my credit card is burning a hole in my wallet. :)
lol this thing is great!
its a lil hard to program for other games>trying to find 3d party drivers<
Oh wow. Now, WOW gamers have more reason to stay online.
Can you turn on the 15 buttons with Controllermate?
I like the WoW mouse, but after playing WoW on the Mac I can’t play it on a PC anymore.
My advice is to buy a logitech MX Revolution or VX Revolution, they are Laser Mouses also and Logitech has very good drivers for the Mac.
Don’t wait for Ideazon and Steelseries to release Drivers for the Mac for their products, because I had a Zboard for at least 1 year and I’m still waiting for Mac Drivers.
