I think the Mac Mini will simply be an iPhone in an aluminium box. Minus the Multitouch display. Minus the cellular radio. Minus the battery. Plus a sata hd. Plus usb ports. Plus bluetooth.

I think Apple have already lost their opportunity window in Netbooks. If they bring out a netbook/tablet-like thing that’s locked to iTunes and costs three times what an Acer Aspire One costs, they’re basically trying to market it to people who have already got fed up with waiting for Apple and already own an AAO or eeePC or similar and are pleasantly surprised that all they need is a good browser on batteries, and what OS is behind it is pretty much immaterial.

I hope so. I am due to upgrade my 2005 Mac mini. If the rumors are true, I’m jumping the gun. Of course, it has to be at $600 or less. Otherwise, I’m not jumping ship.
