So far eBook devices chief sticking point is the high price. The $300+ range of the Kindle and Sony Reader turns off all but the most avid gadgetphile, book proprietor. Maybe the $259 eSlick by Foxit will find more success even though it opts for a lower price rather than fancy connectivity or e-ink backlighting. It’s still slim at .4-inches thick and ships with 128MB of internal memory along with a 2GB SD card. The unit can even function as a MP3 player. So wanna-be eBook owner, is the $259 price right? Or does it still need to drop a bit more?

Their price is one factor, the other is the cost of the things I’d be purchasing on it. Right now, I go to a library for most of my books and so even if I were to cough up the cash for an ebook device, it doesn’t make sense just yet for me.
Also, the fact that I can’t sell the book when I’m done with it on an ebook is something I factor in.
Actually, according to their website, this thing’s only 229.
Get the first edition of Foxit eSlick at just $229.99!
actually it is a bit lower …..
but i would wait until i see it under 200 before i get a decent one.
I dont want the connection that kindle has, but a wifi connection to get what i want would be very very usefull.
Cause for people not in USA that is useless.
