We’ve been around for a few years now and we know that a lot of you have been following us since the beginning so we wanted to reward those folks. Think of it as our version of Best Buy’s Reward Zone program. Otherwise known as the CrunchGear Loyalty Rewards Program. TeleNav has always been supportive of us and so we’ve teamed up to give away a years worth of free service for your Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Storm. So how do you win?
We have two separate one year packs to give away so we are going to reward the individual who has the oldest comment on CrunchGear. Simply identify your first comment on the site, and the winner is he/she with the oldest comment. We can verify these things so don’t think about cheating or you’ll get a lump of coal. You have until December 31st to find those old comments.

Cool idea, this will be interesting to watch. (I am Storm lacking; ergo, I fail by default… lol
Just for fun. Even though i’ve been here since the first post, i think here’s my first comment.

That is the best i can do so far…
Not that I am qualified to win. I use an iPhone.
Coal! Coal is a commodity! Uh… I was first, so I win, (cheating = coal, this is so money)

Ha ha if I only I had known about Crunchgear sooner!
I’m only entering for fun, please don’t give me anything as I don’t actually have Verizon or a Storm, but it was a trip down memory lane. Firstly I’d like to apologize for all the mouthing off I did. And secondly I’d like to apologize for all the blatant grammatical errors I made. I’d like to personally apologize to Peter for comment-yelling at him for his coverage of PMA. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood for PMA coverage and he really was. But that’s his job I suppose, so its not fair for me to comment-scream at him is it? And finally, the oldest comment that I could find is the one on “Lucid Dreaming for the Poor” by Blake Robinson

I *think* this is my earliest. Like dwalk51, I don’t and won’t have a Storm, so the prize isn’t useful, but it was fun to dig this up:

I rarely comment on this blog , but would like to tell you two things :
1. Your contact system is bad, they never reply back :)
2. The Commentors link is displayed in wrong manner. Its missing a ‘ and you need to check out the comments.php file for the same. The output is like this –
http:// www. techcrunch. com’ rel=’external nofollow
For Example try to click on my name in this comment which is linked to my website, it does not work and is broken :)
Waw! it is cool idea. I like TeleNav… I have BlackBerry Storm and I am enjoying it.
Great way to reward the loayal readers. It’s just too bad I only found this site a little over 2 months ago.. oh well, good luck to you all

I have just recently purchased a Verizion BlackBerry Strom. So far, I am not very impressed with it. The biggest limitations are 1) Expectations originally set by the iPhone for touch-screen devices, and 2) Total lacking of apps that truely showcase the full capabilities of the device. But, I do want to have that Nav Service.
What a shame. My oldest comment was the one a just posted yesterday. If the winner is willing to sell it, please post let us know here.

Excellent so far! Hopefully you can keep up the great work! I’ve got myself subscribed to the RSS feed and I look forward to some great articles.

How the hell am I supposed to find it? I remembered how to do it on your old layout. I do know I’ve been here for a while, as I’m sure the crunchgear staff knows as well. I’ve been leaving my witty and stupid comments here for years.
I know I’ve been here for a long ass time, I remember my comments always used to get posted as the best comments of the week, of which you need to bring back!
So how do I search for my old comments? Do i have to go through the achieves, which would be annoying. Come on! I have a Blackberry Storm I want this lol.
=)
