I’m not sure what to make of this, but if you go to Creative.com – say, looking for an MP3 player – you’ll find a teaser link to Zii.com that says “Everything you know is about to change…”
The Zii.com site itself simply says “Zii.com Stemcell Computing” and contains a link to register for e-mail updates. The logo is surrounded by quivering four-leaf clovers. Weird.
Whatever the case, I’m going to go out on a short limb and guess that we’re not looking at a new gadget. Perhaps it’s some sort of computer cluster geared toward stem cell research and – gasp! – cloning. The logo doesn’t tell us much, but I keep getting fixated on the two “I”s – the lower part of one of them is upside-down and the other one’s right-side up. Also, as Engadget points out, it looks an awful lot like the Wii logo.
Seems to me like the first “i” represents male and the second one represents female
the Z looks a bit like the one used a the Zbrush logo
whatever they do, they better start listening to creative fans about what features to include in their new products.

A patent/copyright search on Zii reveals that Creative does own the rights to the Zii branding. It also lends itself to the possibility of something with some sort of tie-in with HDMI, and being that Creative is mostly audio-based, it’s safe to assume it’s audio, as well.
Perhaps a HDMI audio processor of sorts? I kinda envision an audio device that can be all audio things for all people. Though…we truly already have that with the iPhone and G1.

What this Zii thing is, is very simple. It brings Wii capabilities to the pc, acting simular to the ps3’s cell processor for global R&D but aimed at stem cell research instead, a device that further enhances audio capabilities, and a device that surpasses Asus’s accelerator in all their sound products. It might even be, all of the above built into an Ipod format which would obviously add Ipod capabilities.
-You don’t name your product Zii yield similar font for no reason unless you intend to compete.
-To this end, I have dream t of such gaming devices allowing full control of characters not just part like the Wii.
-The stem cell computing is just there to throw some fools off, but clearly this is similar to the PS3 R&D capabilities.
-You can expect a “broader” creative that will bring devices with more capabilities then ever before, opening up to many more markets.
-Now you can understand the following: You can expect, “a ReVoLuTiOn”, hint hint.
-Thought creative is unwise in hyping up a product b4 giving any details. It is better to downplay then to upplay. It may very well be a very good product, but what if you put in the mind’s of the consumer a product that itches perfection; then you might disappoint them. Let the media, and the will of the people decide what is revolutionary for they dictate.
I don’t think Zii will have anything to do with either audio chips or Wii, actually they may have created something brand new, why is so hard to believe? Do you think that only INTEL or AMD or the other big fishes can do something brilliant?

Well folks with all due respect, in my humble opinion I think this can really be the next “evolution” rather than only revolution in computing and the way the world works. I work with a scientific organization and I know a fair deal abt stem cells n processing. I really hope Creative Zii can live up to its expectations and wat its being branded about and transform the digital universe. The concept of flexible “PE”s is quite cool and radical, mimicking Nature and biological stem cells. Of course, its us consumers who eventually decide the grandeur or effectiveness of any product, but I for one am quite optimystic about this whole concept!! All the best!!!
I am director and head supervisor of breakthrough products in one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturing plants(not TAIWAN SEMI) and we have a prototype of a chip that needs stem cells to upload and communicate with
other networks for the desired application to download and replicate for operational purposes.
Bottom line ~STEM CELLS will be used for more applications than just curing diseases.
