The latest unreleased firmware for the Blackberry Storm (aka le lump of poo) has leaked is now available over at CrackBerry forums.
The results, so far, seem promising. I’ll install it tonight, if I can, and report back. The improvements seem manifold. To wit:
Some bugs have been fixed, the accelerometer action is definitely quicker and typing feels a bit more responsive. You’ll want to jump into our Storm OS forum for all of the details and findings surrounding this release. My opinion? This is what the Storm should have launched with.Definitely worth an install if you’re a 9530 Storm owner.
I hope that Blackberry can firmware update the Storm until it’s a beautiful machine, I like the Storm better than say the LG dare. The vibration feedback on the dare is tacky.
Forget upgrading the Storm, it’s time to downgrade Crunchgear back to the old page design.
I’m using IE 6.0.xxx in Windoze XP and your new page design is behaving weirdly. The headline and text for every article dissapears when I mouse over. Others seem to disappear whenever the Google ads refresh. Result: I’m giving up my daily Crunch fix because I can’t see the content.
Works perfectly fine for me on IE. You know they would have actually mentioned your issues if it was actually an issue multiple users had.

Would love to get a new computer, and use Firefox, but I’m accessing from the office, so I have no choice. (Home=iMac+Firefox) Incidentally, the problem has gone away today. Something changed here?
