		<description>I see the HP as more of a suite if you&#039;re into what&#039;s available for their service. But for expandability and security, the HP doesn&#039;t really touch the Drobo.</description>

		<description>HP&#039;s product is a lot more complex than the Drobo and still relies on RAID 1 or 5 for data protection which is obviously a huge minus. Drobo is simple, safe and expandable. The HP has going for it tons and tons of software but most of it you can find on DroboApps for DroboShare these days.

Power draw on Drobo is 12 watts without drives and about 40-60 watts with four drives (depends on the drives). After 15 mins of inactivity Drobo will reduce to 5 watts draw. I don&#039;t know the draw on the HP off hand.</description>
